Description
Wonderful quality Victorian silverplated meat dome/cover; of traditional oval form with a crisp gadroon and shell border. The plain dome has silver insets to accommodate a crest or coat of arms and this grand piece bears a magnificent example. The dome has a fine leaf crown handle which is solid silver and hallmarked for Garrards. This feature allows us to date this piece accurately.Quite the finest silverplated meat dome we have seen for some time.
