Description
Handsome Old Sheffield Plate, Geo.III cake/bread basket; of rectangular form on a pedestal foot with a plain body, and ribbon and shell decoration to the swing handle and the border. The basket bears a crest, and has signs of an ancient repair to the underside of the handle, which is not noticeable unless looked for. Makers marks to both the body and handle.
