Lovely late 19th century French silver hambone holder. Used for holding a hambone steady whilst carving, this has an adjustable grip for accommodating various bone girths. Really great pattern handle and in fine working order. The mechanism is silver as well as the handle.French. c.1890.Minerva's Head marks.
