Description

Pair Geo.III silver sauce ladles; in Old English pattern with shell bowls, and typical Irish "brightcut" floral decoration to the stems. These "bottom marked" ladles have good hallmarks, but as with much Irish silver, have the date letter missing. The maker entered the Dublin guild in 1769, so these can be fairly safely dated at c.1775,which fits perfectly with their design. Very pretty and very collectable.
Dublin. c.1775. John Craig.
Length of each ladle 17cm.
