Description

Rare 19th century Russian silver-mounted cut-glass "four chamber" perfume bottle; of globular form, the glass is decorated with etching and beading. The crested silver top is of very high quality with a "screw" top fitting. The rarity of this piece is that the inside of the bottle is divided into four separate chambers, each with it's own stopper at the top of the chamber. This allows the bottle to contain four different perfumes or colognes. The skill to carry out this work is immense and gives an indication of the quality of this fine article.
