Magnificent Geo.III silver ewer; of plain vase form with a hinged lid/cover and fruitwood handle. Standing on a raised square pedestal foot and a superb leaf decoration to the handle. The body displays an armorial shield, the arms and crest being that of Hawkins. The hallmarks are well struck and still wonderfully clear.
