Description
Antique Continental silver articulated fish; these items have a lid on the underside which allows the fish to be used as a box, traditionally called a smelling box or vinaigrette. The head has coloured stone eyes and moveable gills. The body is hinged to give the movement of a fish. There are also applied patterns to the head and tail.Just charming.
