Description
Continental silver box with enamel portrait of a lady to the cover. This fine quality, good weight box has excellent engine-turned decoration, and has a really unique opening method, by pressing the front edge whereby releasing the hinged cover. This method is usually found on circular tobacco boxes but is quite a feat to achieve on a square box. Very pretty and super quality and also rare.Trieste (Italy) c.1935
